Source audio

Your source audio is processed locally in the browser for mastering. It is not stored by SoundSmith as a cloud source recording and is not supplied to external AI systems for training.

AI assistance

To generate the suggested EQ mathematics, SoundSmith sends the user’s plain-English intent prompt, selected EQ preset and slider values to its AI-assistance service. The source audio recording is not included.

The returned EQ mathematics is applied to the audio locally in the browser. SoundSmith keeps the public provider description neutral while clearly explaining what information leaves the device.

Saved account information

Depending on the account and plan, SoundSmith may retain account details and plan information. The user’s profile archive contains EQ mathematics, metadata and mathematical hashes—not source audio files.

After cancellation, archived EQ data remains available to download as a text file for five days and is then deleted.

Artist DNA

Artist DNA uses preference data only from masters the creator chooses to contribute. It can use selected EQ mathematics and intent information to shape future directions without storing or training on the source recording, and its output remains adjustable.

Services supporting accounts, payments, AI assistance or infrastructure may process limited information needed for their role. The precise service and information involved depend on the function being used and the applicable notices.
